Jibtos Surpasses 1 Trillion Won in Transaction Amount... Starting Apartment Brokerage from Second Half of the Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Tae-min] Real estate brokerage startup Jiptos announced on the 13th that its total transaction amount has surpassed 1 trillion won. This came just over three months after reaching a total transaction amount of 800 billion won in the first quarter, four years after the service launch.
Since 2016, Jiptos has been providing brokerage services for small residential real estate such as one-room and two-room units. It only brokers listings directly collected by licensed real estate agents at 16 company-operated branches located in Seoul and Suwon. The company-operated brokerage system ensures standardized services regardless of which branch customers visit. More than 37,000 actual listings are available online and via the app, with cumulative consultations exceeding 120,000 cases.
The faster-than-expected surpassing of the 1 trillion won total transaction mark is attributed to an increase in the number of contracts. Customer consultations doubled compared to the first and second quarters of the previous year, and 50% of customers who visited the company-operated branches after inquiries proceeded with contracts. Enhancing customer accessibility through online and app platforms and providing uniform brokerage services at offline company-operated branches also played a key role.
Jiptos plans to strengthen customer-centered brokerage services under the slogan "Real Estate with a Good Experience." It is analyzed that high-quality brokerage services will lead to a virtuous cycle of continuous customer inflow and enhanced listing competitiveness, driving growth into a corporate real estate entity. Furthermore, the company intends to accelerate growth by large-scale recruitment of licensed real estate agents and expansion of Jiptos Real Estate company-operated branches.
In the second half of this year, the service area will expand to apartment brokerage. Jiptos has previously piloted apartment brokerage services for some companies. Starting in the second half, apartment brokerage services will be offered to general customers as well. The apartment brokerage will be operated as an open beta service.
