Hyundai Motor to Hold Ioniq 5 Virtual Showcase in the US on the 24th
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Hyundai Motor Company is launching its first dedicated electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5, in the U.S. market.
Hyundai Motor America (HMA) announced on the 13th that it will introduce the Ioniq 5 to the North American market through a virtual showcase on the 24th (local time).
The Ioniq 5 is the first electric vehicle built on Hyundai's dedicated electric vehicle platform, E-GMP, and following its release in the Korean and European markets, it is scheduled to be officially sold in the North American market this fall.

HMA stated, "The progressive design of the Ioniq 5 explores the new freedom provided by the dedicated electric vehicle platform," adding, "Through the innovative V2L (Vehicle to Load) feature, electronic devices such as camping equipment can be freely used or charged from the vehicle."
