The Sacheon-Jinju Healthy Society National Forum held a press conference in front of the Gyeongnam Provincial Council on the 12th, demanding, "Immediately repeal the 'fake student autonomy activation' that obstructs student autonomy under the name of activating student autonomy."
They pointed out that the ordinance "appears to be for the students on the surface, but looking deeper, it is political and creates conflict among students, parents, teachers, and schools."
Furthermore, they stated, "It is problematic to grant excessive authority to adolescents whose opinions and thoughts of guardians are still important," and urged, "Communicate and empathize with the residents, not unilaterally propose the ordinance."
They also demanded, "Immediately repeal the ordinance proposed by Democratic Party lawmaker Song, and instead propose an ordinance for the activation of 'study'."
