S-OIL Delivers Condolence Money to Bereaved Families of Fallen Firefighters at Yongin Fire Station
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] S-OIL announced on the 10th that it will provide 30 million KRW in condolence money to the family of the late firefighter Shin Jin-gyu of the Yongin Fire Station, who died in the line of duty while responding to a fire at an agricultural supplies warehouse in Dongwon-dong, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province.
Firefighter Shin (33 years old, Yongin Fire Station, Gyeonggi Province) was dispatched around 2 p.m. on the 9th after receiving a report of a fire at an agricultural machinery house located in Dongwon-dong, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province. While entering the site, the unpaved farm road ground collapsed, causing the water tank vehicle he was driving to overturn. He was transported to the hospital but ultimately passed away.
An S-OIL official stated, "We pray for the repose of the late firefighter Shin Jin-gyu, who always prioritized the safety and lives of the public in urgent situations and devoted himself to protecting them, and we express our deepest condolences to his bereaved family."
