Geumcheon-gu Begins Accepting Applications for Temporary Livelihood Support Fund (500,000 KRW per Household) for Crisis Households
A Total of 1.45 Billion Won to Support Crisis Households Not Receiving COVID-19 Relief... Online Applications from May 10, On-site Applications from May 17
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will provide a total of 1.45 billion KRW in living support funds to low-income crisis households who are facing livelihood difficulties due to income reduction caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and have not received existing welfare benefits or other COVID-19 damage support.
The district will provide 500,000 KRW per household to households with income below 75% of the median income standard (2-person household 기준 2,316,000 KRW) and property below 600 million KRW.
From May 10 (Monday), online applications will be accepted through the Bokjiro internet site, and on-site applications will be accepted from May 17 at the local community service centers of the applicant's address.
After investigation and eligibility assessment, the living support funds will be paid to each household's account by the end of June.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "As signs of COVID-19 resurgence are appearing in various places recently, the anxiety of residents is increasing day by day. We will carefully monitor to ensure that low-income crisis households who have experienced income reduction but have not received other COVID-19 damage support do not face livelihood crises."
