IBK Industrial Bank, Agreement Signed to Support Academic Research Papers for Small and Medium Enterprises
Data and Research Funding Support for Small and Medium Enterprises
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi]IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 9th that it has selected 10 final research projects out of 141 research proposals submitted through the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) academic paper contest held last January and signed research funding agreements.
Through this agreement, IBK will provide SME-related data necessary for the research and support research funds of 10 million KRW for 7 general researcher projects and 5 million KRW for 3 student researcher projects.
The bank stated that there are many promising research projects expected to produce results such as "Startup Investment Decision Factors," "Utilization of ESG by SMEs and Policies," and "Activation of the SME and Venture Business Ecosystem."
IBK plans to select outstanding papers in July and present awards and presentations at the "Global SME Finance Academic Conference" held to commemorate its 60th anniversary.

Jo Bong-hyun, Vice President of IBK Economic Research Institute, said, "The research results will be actively reflected in IBK's future SME support policies," adding, "We hope this support will further activate academic research related to SMEs."
