According to the Ministry of Environment, the areas where the yellow dust crisis alert at the 'Caution' level has been issued are Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Gangwon, Sejong, Chungbuk, Gwangju, and Jeonnam. In addition to Daejeon, the 'Interest' level yellow dust crisis alert has been newly issued for six regions: Busan, Daegu, Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Jeju.
The 'Caution' level is issued when a fine dust warning due to yellow dust is in effect and there is a possibility of a large-scale disaster occurring. The 'Interest' level indicates that yellow dust that could affect South Korea has occurred, and the resulting fine dust (PM10) is at a 'Very Bad' level.
The National Institute of Environmental Research forecasted that the yellow dust flowing in from this day will continue to affect various parts of the country over the weekend. The situation is expected to be resolved starting from the 9th. Accordingly, on Saturday the 8th, fine dust concentrations nationwide are also forecasted to be at a 'Very Bad' level.
The weather on the 8th is expected to be mostly clear nationwide, with daytime temperatures rising to around 25 degrees Celsius in most areas. In Gangwon Yeongseo and the Chungcheong region, clouds will increase from the evening, and some places may experience light drizzle.
The morning low temperature is forecasted to be between 4 and 13 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 18 and 26 degrees Celsius. In eastern Gyeonggi, inland Gangwon, inland Gyeongbuk, and eastern Jeonbuk, morning temperatures will drop to 5 degrees Celsius or below, resulting in a large daily temperature range of over 15 degrees Celsius, mainly in inland areas.
