Cleaning of Traffic Management Systems on Olympic-daero and Gangbyeonbuk-ro... Partial Traffic Control
Cleaning Operations at 373 Traffic Management System Sites on 8 Expressway Routes
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul Facilities Corporation announced on the 7th that it will carry out cleaning work on traffic management systems for eight expressway routes, including Olympic-daero and Gangbyeonbuk-ro, as well as other underpass roads, from the 10th to the 28th of this month.
The expressways subject to the cleaning work include Naebusunhwan-ro, Gangbyeonbuk-ro, Olympic-daero, Bukbu-gansen-ro, Dongbu-gansen-ro, Seobu-gansen-ro, Gyeongbu Expressway, and Gangnam Sunhwan-ro.
The cleaning work targets 373 locations of road electronic display signs that show traffic flow conditions in the direction of travel and video detection cameras used for collecting traffic information, aiming to improve visibility and provide more accurate traffic information. Each location is expected to take about one hour, and the corporation conducts cleaning work twice a year in spring and autumn.
During the 19-day cleaning period, the corporation will partially close one lane of the target sections from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Since the cleaning is performed manually on facilities about 8 meters high from the road, drivers are asked to reduce speed when passing nearby. More detailed information can be found on the Seoul Facilities Corporation website.
