Gyeongnam Province Holds Meeting with Bio-Life Science and Medical Device Companies in Yangsan Area

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] On the 6th, Gyeongsangnam-do held a 'Medical, Life Science, and Medical Device Companies Meeting' at Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital, inviting five medical, life science, and medical device companies and hospital officials.
The meeting was attended by Park Jongwon, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs of Gyeongsangnam-do, Kim Geonil, Director of Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital, hospital officials, and representatives from five companies: Hwang Taeho, CEO of BioNox Co., Ltd., Kim Junhong, CEO of TauPNU Medical Co., Ltd., Kim Jaeho, CEO of HiCellTech Co., Ltd., Lee Yohan, CEO of cen Co., Ltd., and Kim Youngmin, Team Leader of Pigle Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Kyucheon).
The company representatives emphasized the necessity of establishing manufacturing facilities within the hospital that can be linked with the educational and medical complex infrastructure of Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital. They proposed to the province the designation of venture company cluster facilities to support this.
Additionally, they mentioned the need to foster high value-added pharmaceutical industries and requested the province to maintain continuous interest in the active entrepreneurial activities of faculty members affiliated with Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital.
Deputy Governor Park stated, "If high value-added biohealth startups and corporate growth proceed smoothly, it will lead to regional economic revitalization. With increasing interest in aging and health, the bio sector is expected to continue industrial development and expansion, creating an opportunity for related industries to take a leap forward."
