Yeosu City Agricultural Products Nationwide Promotion Joint Trademark Design Contest
Applications accepted from May 10 to June 9... Total prize money 5 million won
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shim Kyung-taek] Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kwon Oh-bong) announced on the 6th that it will hold an 'Agricultural Products Joint Trademark Design Contest' until the 9th of next month to further enhance the brand value of high-quality agricultural products from Yeosu City and to approach consumers more familiarly.
According to the city, this contest is being promoted to respond to the opening of agricultural product imports and changes in the distribution environment, and to contribute to increasing farm income by enhancing consumer trust.
Yeosu City's agricultural products joint trademark currently has the existing 'Geumgatgoun,' but since the image of Dolsan Gat is dominant and the utilization by farmers is low, there was a need to develop a fresh design that can encompass all local agricultural products.
Anyone nationwide can participate, and by utilizing Yeosu City's urban brand, Seomseom Yeosu (BI), participants should create a design that does not highlight specific agricultural products but embraces various agricultural products.
Those wishing to participate can check the application documents on the Yeosu City website's public notice section until the 9th of next month and submit their entries by mail or email.
The city plans to select five outstanding works and award a total of 5 million KRW: 1 grand prize winner (2.5 million KRW), 1 excellence prize winner (1 million KRW), and 3 encouragement prize winners (500,000 KRW each).
The winning works will be evaluated by a judging committee composed of experts, and the results will be individually notified and announced on the Yeosu City website in June.
The winning designs will be used for packaging printing, exhibitions, promotions, and online activities to promote Yeosu City's agricultural products.
