[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 6th that it will extend the 'Jinju Citizens Pause' campaign, which has been underway until the 6th to break the chain of COVID-19 infections, until the 10th.
As the spread of COVID-19 infections continues nationwide, at a quarantine meeting held on the 3rd hosted by the province with four cities in the province (Jinju, Sacheon, Gimhae, Yangsan), it was decided to benchmark Jinju City's Pause campaign and simultaneously implement it in the four cities starting from the 4th.
The campaign, which has been vigorously promoted since April 23, involves participation from members of the eup/myeon/dong offices, village chiefs, related organizations, volunteer group councils, and women's group councils, with campaigns being held daily at about 100 locations.
Additionally, each eup/myeon/dong is focusing all administrative efforts to overcome COVID-19 by promoting the campaign through 635 street promotions using the 120 Mobile Unit vehicles, posting 258 banners in various locations, and utilizing diverse media such as SNS and village broadcasts to encourage all citizens to practice the pause.
