Uljin-gun Hosts 'Hug Hug' (Embrace) Photo Contest on Couples Day
Prize money awarded to 25 people ... Grand prize 500,000 won
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Uljin County, Gyeongbuk Province (County Governor Jeon Chan-geol) announced on the 6th that it will hold the 'HUG (Hugging) Photo Contest' from the 7th to the 14th in anticipation of Couples' Day on the 21st.
This contest is the second one following last year. It is an event to commemorate 'Couples' Day,' which symbolizes two (2) becoming one (1) in May, the month of family.
Applicants can download the application form from the Uljin County website and submit it along with the photo file via email to the person in charge. Any couple registered as residents in Uljin County can participate.
Entries will be selected through judging by the Uljin County Population Policy Committee and the Photographers Association. Prizes will be awarded to a total of 25 winners: 1 grand prize of 500,000 KRW, 2 excellence awards of 300,000 KRW each, 2 merit awards of 200,000 KRW each, and 20 encouragement awards of 100,000 KRW each.
