Baekryeon Cafe Opens... Tourist Increase and Local Economy Revitalization Expected
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 4th that on the 3rd, it transformed the floating glass greenhouse in Hoisan Baekryeonji into the Baekryeon Cafe and a resting place for tourists and opened it.
The county decided to remodel the floating glass greenhouse as the National Support Local Road No. 49 and Yeongsangang Riverside Road opened near Hoisan Baekryeonji, increasing visitors from other regions such as Gwangju, Naju, and Mokpo.
The floating glass greenhouse had been used for displaying suiseki and as a subtropical botanical garden, but through remodeling, the first floor was created as a cafe and restroom, and the second floor as a botanical garden resting area.
The interior and exterior of the first-floor cafe welcome visitors with an cozy atmosphere featuring lotus murals, comfortable sofas, lighting, and stylish furniture, along with artificial wood reminiscent of forest trees.
The second floor has six resting areas among tropical plants, each furnished with distinctive tables and chairs, allowing tourists to comfortably sit and enjoy coffee while admiring the waves of lotus flowers and leaves visible through the windows.
Additionally, following the cafe opening, the county plans to open a local food hall to promote the flavors of Muan to tourists.
