22% Increase Compared to Previous Year... Repair, Reinforcement, and Sanitation Management Improvement of Water Supply Pipelines
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gangwon Province plans to invest 434.6 billion won in the water supply and sewage sector this year, an increase of 77.7 billion won compared to last year, to expand 'water welfare services.'
The province announced on the 4th that "with a budget increased by 22% from last year, we will expand local water supply facilities in areas without water supply and rural fishing and farming villages at the township level to provide stable tap water."
In addition to repairing and reinforcing old water purification plants and water pipelines, projects to improve hygiene management at purification plants will also be carried out.
Furthermore, the 'Smart Water Supply Infrastructure Construction Project,' which manages the entire tap water supply process in real time using ICT, will be expanded to 12 cities and counties.
