Franchise Taxi 'Tada Light' Surpasses 1,300 Vehicles in 6 Months
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] The franchise taxi service 'Tada Light' has surpassed 1,300 vehicles.
VCNC, the operator of Tada, announced on the 4th, "Tada Light has exceeded 1,300 vehicles within six months of its launch," adding, "Including 270 Tada Plus (premium taxis), there are 1,500 taxis available for call through the Tada app."
The number of members registered for the Tada service has reached a cumulative total of 2 million.
'Tada Light' is a franchise taxi service based on mid-sized taxis that Tada introduced in October last year. It applies the same systems as the 'Tada Basic' service, which is based on white Carnivals, including immediate dispatch without ride refusals, a comfortable interior, and driver manuals.
According to VCNC, one out of every two Tada customers has used a Tada vehicle more than once. The most frequent user took a total of 293 rides, averaging nearly 50 rides per month. The average number of completed rides per day has increased tenfold compared to the early days of the launch.
By region, in Seoul, Tada Light calls were most frequent in Gangnam-gu, Seocho-gu, and Songpa-gu, followed by Yongsan-gu, Seongdong-gu, and Mapo-gu. In Busan, calls were highest in Saha-gu, Haeundae-gu, and Busanjin-gu, while in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province, calls were most frequent in the Bundang-gu area.
Tada Light expanded its service area from Seoul to Busan and Seongnam in December last year. In April, the number of Tada Light rides in Busan increased by 1.8 times compared to January.
