Pohang City Holds 99th Children's Day Event Online... Live Broadcast on City Hall YouTuber Channel
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Pohang City announced on the 3rd that it will hold a non-face-to-face Children's Day event on the 5th to celebrate the 99th Children's Day and broadcast it live through the Pohang City YouTube channel.
Every year on Children's Day, many children and families enjoyed various activities at places like Haemaji Park, receiving great responses, but last year the event was completely canceled due to the spread of COVID-19.
This year, Pohang City explained that the event will be held online to encourage children who have had fewer opportunities for play and experience due to COVID-19 and to provide families with memories.
On the day, at the outdoor recording site Cheolgil Forest Hanteo Madang, performances such as children's cheerleaders, Taekwondo dance, and comic juggling, as well as an exemplary children award ceremony, will be held from 11 a.m.
Separately, experience kits for making soap bubbles and hand sanitizer will be distributed in advance to children at social welfare facilities, and the production methods will be broadcast online so that children who cannot participate in the event in person can experience it online.
