409 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed by 6 PM, Up 24... Expected to Reach 500s Tomorrow

According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments, from midnight to 6 p.m. on that day, a total of 409 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were recorded nationwide. This is 24 more than the 385 cases recorded at the same time the previous day.
Looking at the regions where confirmed cases were reported, 258 cases (63.1%) were in the metropolitan area, and 151 cases (36.9%) were in non-metropolitan areas.
By city and province, there were 149 cases in Seoul, 100 in Gyeonggi, 31 in Gyeongnam, 22 in Gyeongbuk, 20 in Gangwon, 16 in Chungnam, 15 in Busan, 14 in Ulsan, 9 each in Incheon and Daejeon, 8 in Daegu, 5 in Chungbuk, 4 in Jeonbuk, 3 each in Gwangju and Jeonnam, and 1 in Jeju.
Among the 17 cities and provinces nationwide, Sejong has not yet reported any confirmed cases.
Since there is still time left until midnight when the tally closes, the number of new confirmed cases announced as of 0:00 on the 4th is expected to increase further, reaching the 500s.
The previous day, 103 additional cases were reported after 6 p.m., closing at a final count of 488 cases.
Recently, with clusters of infections occurring nationwide, the average daily number of confirmed cases over the past week from the 27th of last month to this day was about 620. The daily new confirmed cases were 512 → 769 → 679 → 661 → 627 → 606 → 488.
Among these, the key indicator for adjusting social distancing levels, the average daily locally transmitted cases, was 594, which falls within the Level 2.5 range (nationwide 400?500 or more).
Regarding major new cluster infection cases, a total of 12 people tested positive related to a church in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (4th case), and 11 people tested positive related to a Buddhist facility in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi.
Additionally, new confirmed cases were reported at a high school in Anyang-si (2nd case, 12 people), Incheon Airport (8 people), a karaoke room in Gumi-si and Chilgok-gun, Gyeongbuk (11 people), and an entertainment facility in Namwon-si, Jeonbuk (8 people).
