India's New COVID-19 Cases Slightly Decrease for Second Consecutive Day

India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced on the morning of the 3rd that the daily new cases were recorded at 368,147.
India surpassed 400,000 new daily cases for the first time in the world on the 1st, but the number has slightly decreased for two consecutive days. This is the first time in over a month since late March that the number of new cases has declined for two consecutive days.
The total number of confirmed cases reached 19,925,604, nearing 20 million. The death toll increased by 3,417, bringing the total to 218,959.
However, experts estimate that the actual number of deaths, which are not captured in the statistics, is higher. According to major foreign media, an analysis of data collected from seven regions showed that the actual death toll is ten times higher than the official count.
