Samjin Food Launches Franchise Brand 'Samjin Eomukdang' First Store in Yeoksam-dong
Designed for Dine-in, Delivery, and TAKE-OUT with Fish Cake Croquettes and Premium Snacks

On the 3rd, Samjin Food (CEO Hwang Chang-hwan) announced the launch of ‘Samjin Eomukdang,’ a franchise brand for fish cake croquettes & premium snacks.
The first Samjin Eomukdang store is located in Yeoksam-dong, the heart of Gangnam, Seoul, an area with heavy foot traffic and a diverse consumer base.
Samjin Eomukdang plans to operate premium fish cake snack stores with the core values of ‘healthy ingredients,’ ‘healthy texture,’ and ‘healthy taste.’
They pursue the chewy texture of premium fish cake made with SA-grade top-quality fish paste in natural broth ingredients such as barley shrimp, dried seaweed, and kelp.
They also keep a secret sauce unique to Samjin Eomukdang, developed by adding highly concentrated extracts of plum and apple.
Samjin Eomukdang’s signature menu consists of four items: fish cake pasta tteokbokki, Bolognese tteokbokki, spicy rose tteokbokki, and fish cake croquettes.
Samjin Food’s franchise brand Samjin Eomukdang sells premium fish cake tteokbokki along with the signature fish cake croquettes, which were previously only available at Samjin Eomuk direct stores.
Samjin Food explained, “Recently, ‘moment marketing,’ which emphasizes the optimal timing to eat food, has become a hot topic in the food industry. We applied a ‘time-based system’ by setting two daily ‘fish cake croquette serving times’ when the croquettes are freshly fried, the most delicious moment.”
For ‘fish cake holic’ customers who prefer premium fish cake, the side menu includes various types of fish cake toppings such as whole shrimp-wrapped fish cake, dancing sausage-wrapped fish cake, and fish cake balls to enjoy with the signature menu.
The brand name Samjin Eomukdang was created by adding the character ‘dang’ (堂), meaning ‘hall’ or ‘house,’ to Samjin Eomuk, signifying ‘meeting Samjin Eomuk right in front of your home.’
Samjin Food CEO Hwang Chang-hwan said, “We hope more people will enjoy premium fish cake through our first franchise brand, Samjin Eomukdang.”
Samjin Food is leading the domestic fish cake market by recently launching ‘low-sodium fish cake’ and ‘frozen convenience foods’ consecutively.

Also, ‘Our Family’s Meticulous Fish Cake,’ a low-sodium fish cake released last October, has recorded cumulative sales of 1 million packs since its launch. Recently, Samjin Eomuk was selected as the No. 1 brand in the seafood processed food category in the 23rd Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI) survey.
