2800 School Violence Perpetrators Arrested from January to April This Year... 19.7% Decrease Compared to Last Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The National Police Agency announced on the 3rd that it apprehended 2,896 school violence offenders from January to April this year. This figure represents a 19.7% decrease compared to the same period last year (3,609 offenders).
The number of school sexual violence cases during the same period this year also decreased by 16.5%, totaling 7,198 cases compared to 8,618 cases in the previous year.
In contrast, calls to the 117 counseling and reporting hotline for school violence prevention and consultation increased by 39%, reaching 10,503 calls during this period.
