Wavve to Exclusively Release 'May Youth' on OTT
[Asia Economy Reporter Gu Eun-mo] Online video service (OTT) wavve announced that the drama "May Youth," starring Lee Do-hyun, Go Min-si, Lee Sang-yi, and Geum Sae-rok, will be exclusively released on OTT simultaneously with the KBS main broadcast at 9:30 PM on the 3rd.
"May Youth" is a retro human melodrama set in May 1980, telling the love story of a man and a woman who fall for each other by fate amidst the whirlpool of history. The confirmed appearance of promising new actors has attracted great attention even before the broadcast. It is praised for the unique and fresh combination of the cast and the 1980s retro sensibility.
The characters also stand out with distinct traits for each of the four. Actor Lee Do-hyun plays "Hwang Hee-tae," who confronts the prejudices surrounding him, Go Min-si portrays "Kim Myung-hee," a third-year nurse with desperate passion chasing her dreams, Lee Sang-yi takes on the role of "Lee Soo-chan," a businessman at a trading company who returned after studying in France, and Geum Sae-rok plays "Lee Soo-ryun," who leads the student movement in the 1980s, depicting the stories of youth in the era's background.
