Justice Kim is reported to have been appointed as Chief to succeed Chief Cho. Justice Kim was nominated by Supreme Court Chief Justice Kim Myeong-su in December 2018 and appointed by President Moon Jae-in. The Chief of the Court Administration Office oversees judicial administrative affairs and is concurrently held by one of the Supreme Court Justices.
