On the day, Vice Minister Hwang received a report from Korea Railroad Corporation on the current status of station and train quarantine, separation of passenger flow for arrivals and departures, and strengthened quarantine measures under social distancing level 2.5. He encouraged the officials, saying, "I appreciate your efforts for the people despite the difficult situation caused by COVID-19."
In particular, he stated, "This special quarantine management week is a very important turning point to prevent the 4th wave of COVID-19," and emphasized, "As the severe quarantine situation continues, please maintain vigilance and manage thoroughly and meticulously to establish a quarantine network without blind spots."
Vice Minister Hwang then visited the Seoul Regional Railway Special Judicial Police and said, "I appreciate the hard work of the railway police who are carrying out the transportation support work for KTX exclusive cars for overseas arrivals without any setbacks."
