MFDS Begins Review for Approval of GC Green Cross COVID-19 Treatment (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo So-jeong] The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (Minister Kim Gang-rip) announced on the 30th that GC Green Cross has applied for marketing authorization for 'Zicoviddic Injection,' developed as a COVID-19 treatment.
Zicoviddic Injection is a plasma fraction therapy made by concentrating antibodies at high levels from the blood of patients recovering from COVID-19 infection.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety plans to thoroughly review the submitted quality, clinical, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) data, and after consulting external experts, will rigorously verify the submitted materials to decide on the approval.
