The Busan Sasang-gu Child Nutrition Management Support Center is conducting a real-time online cooking class, "Sasang Mother," for multicultural families in the district on April 29.

The Busan Sasang-gu Children's Meal Management Support Center (Director Kim Mi-hyang, Professor of Food and Nutrition at Silla University) held a real-time online cooking class called ‘Sasang Mother’ for multicultural families in the district at 10 a.m. on the 29th.
This program was designed to provide multicultural families with the opportunity to make Korean food themselves, experience Korean food culture, and practice healthy eating habits.
The Sasang-gu Center conducted the cooking class via the real-time video conferencing platform ‘Zoom’ to prevent the spread of COVID-19. About 10 parents from multicultural families participated in this program.
The class was led by Park Kyung-ran, director of the ‘Exciting, Delicious, and Happy Food Art Research Institute.’
On that day, Director Park introduced how to make beef radish soup and braised tofu, dishes easily accessible to Koreans. She communicated interactively with the multicultural family parents and taught them how to prepare the dishes.

Kim Mi-hyang, director of the Sasang-gu Center, said, “To prevent the spread of COVID-19, we replaced this cooking class with an online real-time education session. We plan to carry out various programs to help multicultural families settle in the local community.”
