Over 120 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Among Indian Residents Abroad... Government "Reviewing Countermeasures"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among Korean residents staying in India has surpassed 120.
An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on the 30th, "According to the local diplomatic mission, the cumulative number of confirmed cases among our overseas nationals exceeds 120," adding, "There may be unreported or uncommunicated cases, so the number may not be exact."
The number of confirmed cases among embassy staff has not increased from the previous count of around 10.

The government plans to closely monitor the situation in India and consider countermeasures. Regarding irregular flights for returnees, they stated, "Flights are planned to operate in May as well," and "We are internally reviewing additional increases based on demand for return, and are also in discussions with Indian authorities and airlines."
