Gokseong-gun Operates Psychological Counseling Room for Employees
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gokseong-gun, Jeonnam (Governor Yu Geun-gi) announced on the 30th that it will operate an employee psychological counseling center to support the mental health stability of its staff.
Recently, there have been numerous incidents where civil petitioners verbally abuse or assault public officials. Not only the employees who have been verbally abused or assaulted but also those who intervene or witness such incidents are reporting severe mental fatigue and distress. The decline in public officials' morale can lead to a loss of administrative efficiency, making psychological counseling urgently necessary.
Accordingly, Gokseong-gun has decided to operate a psychological counseling center with professional counselors on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month. Counseling is available not only for job-related stress but also for various areas such as interpersonal relationships and family matters. Additionally, the service is available not only to Gokseong-gun employees but also to their families.
