Sasunmun Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member Criticizes Disciplinary Actions and Concentrated Placement of New Teachers in Specific Areas
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Sasunmun, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Assembly (Democratic Party of Korea·Jangheung 1), pointed out the concentration of disciplinary teachers, new teachers, and certain regions in affiliated institutions during the 351st extraordinary session's provincial administration questions on the 29th, urging regional balance in Jeonnam education, including relocating the Creative Convergence Education Center to the central-southern region.
According to Assemblyman Sasunmun, over the past three years, disciplinary teachers were assigned 80% in elementary and 64.6% in secondary schools in the Jangheung, Gangjin, Haenam, and Wando areas, while new teachers were concentrated 29% in elementary and 47% in secondary schools in these regions.
Assemblyman Sasunmun pointed out, "The regional imbalance caused by the concentrated placement of disciplinary and new teachers is severe and requires efficient improvement."

He added, "In the 21st century AI information age, education that enables future dreamers to think creatively and convergently is necessary," and argued, "To revitalize creative education and advance education in Jeonnam, the Creative Convergence Education Center should be relocated to the central-southern region, which has good accessibility."
