Songpa Police Chief Joins 'SOS Relay Challenge' to Eradicate Child Abuse
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Kim Sonyeon, Chief of the Seoul Songpa Police Station, participated on the 29th in the child abuse eradication campaign 'Save Our Seoul (SOS) Relay Challenge.'
The SOS Relay Challenge is a campaign conducted under the slogan "Look, Find, Report, Protect" to prevent various forms of violence, including child abuse, and to gradually resolve welfare blind spots. It is carried out by posting the slogan phrase on social networking services (SNS) and nominating the next participant.
Having been nominated by Park Seong-su, Mayor of Songpa District, Chief Kim participated in the campaign and nominated Kim Hyeong-ryul, Chief of Gangnam Police Station, Choi Hong-hoon, CEO of Lotte World, and Im Hyun-seon, President of the Songpa Medical Association, as the next participants.

Chief Kim stated, "To protect socially vulnerable groups and eradicate child abuse, we have established a Women and Youth Violent Crime Unit and a dedicated investigation system, and we are working in various ways with Songpa District Office to designate a dedicated medical institution for child abuse."
