Muan-gun, Additional Payment of 2nd Installment for Farmers and Fishermen's Public Interest Allowance
Payment of approximately 170 million KRW to 298 farms in the district
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) will collectively pay the 2nd round of the farmers and fishermen public interest allowance through local agricultural cooperatives starting from the 3rd of next month.
According to the county on the 29th, to support farmers and fishermen struggling due to COVID-19, the first round of applications for the public interest allowance was accepted until February 10, and approximately 6 billion KRW was sequentially paid to 10,068 households.
Additionally, for farmers and fishermen who missed the initial application, the second round of applications was accepted from the 29th of last month until the 9th, and about 170 million KRW will be paid to 298 households.
Originally, the plan was to pay 300,000 KRW in two installments (first and second half of the year), but to support farmers and fishermen facing difficulties due to COVID-19, the full amount of 600,000 KRW per household will be paid entirely in local currency, the Muan Sarang Gift Certificate.
Recipients should bring their ID cards and visit their local agricultural cooperative branch on the distribution day assigned to their village to receive the gift certificates.
