View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong will attend the Group of Seven (G7) Foreign Ministers' Meeting to be held in the United Kingdom next month.
An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on the 29th, "Minister Chung will attend the G7 Foreign and Development Ministers' Meeting held over two days, from the 4th to the 5th of next month, in central London."
The meeting will be attended by G7 countries as well as South Korea, Australia, India, and the Republic of South Africa, who have been invited by the United Kingdom, the G7 chair country this year.
The main topics of discussion at this meeting, considering the COVID-19 situation, will be under the broad theme of "Recovery and Reconstruction for All," including vaccines, health, and climate change.

In this regard, Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun reported that South Korea, the United States, and Japan are planning to hold a foreign ministers' meeting in line with the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting next month.
