[Concall] Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering "Current Market Conditions Similar to Early 2003 Supercycle"
On the 29th, Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering stated in a conference call in response to a question about the recent shipbuilding market, "Securing an order backlog of 2.5 years means we have secured stable volume," adding, "We see the current situation as similar to the early 2003 period just before entering the supercycle." They continued, "Although there were times when orders were received at low prices back then, the backlog was quickly consumed and then increased," and added, "If factors such as how quickly the recovery from COVID-19 occurs align, we cautiously expect that the supercycle may return."
