Yeosu City Council, 210th Extraordinary Session Closed
Receiving current issue reports for 8 days from the 20th and handling 26 agenda items
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu City Council (Chairman Jeon Chang-gon) announced on the 28th that it closed the 210th extraordinary session after handling 26 agenda items including ordinance proposals and petitions.
This extraordinary session was held for a total of 8 days from the opening on the 20th until the day before.
On the 23rd, there was a report on major pending issues such as the Gyeongdo development project and the Manheung district housing development project, and on the 26th, city administration questions related to waste disposal measures, education policies, and the Somisan urban planning decision followed.
The handled agenda items totaled 26, including 14 ordinance proposals, 3 petitions, 2 resolutions, 2 consents, 1 public property management plan, and 4 other agenda items.
Among the ordinance proposals, ▶Yeosu City Ordinance on Fostering and Supporting the Photography Industry ▶Yeosu City Ordinance on the Protection of Companion Animals and Lost/Abandoned Animals and Prevention of Abuse ▶Yeosu City Ordinance on Supporting Safety-Vulnerable Groups, etc., passed the plenary session.
Petitions and resolutions were actively proposed, including a petition urging Gyeongdo to be developed as a tourist resort as originally planned and a resolution condemning Japan’s decision to discharge contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant.
The 10-minute free speeches were conducted on nine topics including local cable car public donation funds, housing measures for migrant workers, post-expo site utilization, and solutions for population increase.
