DGB Financial Group Hosts NIE Energy Diary Contest
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] DGB Financial Group announced on the 28th that it will hold the "13th National Elementary, Middle, and High School Newspaper Utilization Education (NIE) Energy Diary Contest" in collaboration with the Dr. An Nature Love Research Institute.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Environment, Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, and the United Nations Global Compact Korea Network, the contest is open to all students currently enrolled in elementary, middle, or high school nationwide, as well as youths of the same age group. Starting this year, the contest has been improved to allow more students to participate by providing printed diary books for direct use, and the writing criteria have been relaxed to enable the use of up to five internet newspaper articles, increased from the previous two.
Students who wish to participate can download the diary book from the DGB Financial Group website. They must write energy-related diary entries using newspaper articles for more than ten days on the printed form and submit them by September 30th to any DGB Daegu Bank branch or the DGB Financial Group Management Research Institute.

Through strict evaluation by external expert judges, a total of about 70 individual awardees will be selected, including ▲Grand Prize (Minister of Environment Award) 1 person ▲Excellence Award (Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education Superintendent Award) 1 person ▲Excellence Award (DGB Financial Group Chairman Award) 1 person ▲Gold Prize (UNGC Korea Network Chairman Award) 1 person, who will receive certificates and scholarships. The schools with the most awards and the highest number of applicants will receive group awards (Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education Superintendent Award).
