[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter]One more confirmed case has been added at the Air Force 3rd Training Flight Group in Sacheon, Gyeongnam, where a new cluster infection of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) occurred again after three months.
According to the Ministry of National Defense on the 28th, one soldier belonging to the flight group was classified as a contact of a fellow soldier who tested positive on the 25th (based on the reporting date) and tested positive while in quarantine. The Sacheon flight group’s cumulative confirmed cases have reached 10. It is known that about 600 personnel in the unit are currently quarantined as a preventive measure.

Additionally, three new confirmed cases were reported on the same day: an Army officer in Seoul, an Army officer candidate in Iksan, Jeonbuk, and an Air Force soldier in Chungju, Chungbuk. As of 10 a.m. that day, the cumulative confirmed cases in the military reached 777, with 84 currently undergoing treatment.
