The 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge' is a campaign launched in December last year to prevent traffic accidents occurring in school zones and to spread public consensus on child protection.
This campaign is conducted in a relay format where participants take photos holding a board with the traffic safety slogan "Stop at 1! Look both ways at 2! Wait for 3 seconds! Prevent 4 dangers!" and then nominate the next participant. bhc CEO Lim Geum-ok was nominated by Jo Myung-hwan, Chairman of World Vision, and recommended Moon Joo-hyun, Chairman of MDM Group, as the next participant.
bhc CEO Lim Geum-ok said, "I have always been interested in strengthening traffic safety and strongly sympathize with the campaign's purpose of expanding a safe walking environment for children," adding, "I will not only participate but also inform headquarters employees and store owners about the campaign's significance to help establish a mature culture of traffic safety practice."
Meanwhile, bhc Chicken invested a total budget of 500 million won over one year starting January last year to take the lead in children's traffic safety by expanding safety facilities. This initiative was based on the purpose of the 'Min-sik Act' passed by the National Assembly at that time, selecting areas nationwide in school zones where speed warning system signs were not installed and sequentially posting signs.
