Oh Se-hoon Attends 'Hwaseong District Mayors Association'... First Virtual Meeting

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon will attend the '159th District Mayors' Council' held via video conference in the city hall video conference room on the 28th.
The 'District Mayors' Council' is a consultative body of heads of local governments established based on Article 165 of the Local Autonomy Act. Mayors of Seoul's 25 districts participate in it.
Every two months, joint meetings are held with Seoul City to discuss matters of mutual cooperation. The goal is to contribute to the joint development of the city and districts by enhancing cooperation between the city and districts and through consultation and coordination on shared interests.
This council meeting will be the first since Mayor Oh took office. As the 25 district mayors gather remotely in one place, Mayor Oh will attend in person to deliver a message that the city and districts will work closely together with one heart and one mind going forward.
Meanwhile, at 7 p.m., Mayor Oh Se-hoon will attend the 'Buddha's Birthday Lantern Lighting Ceremony' (hosted and organized by the Yeondeunghoe Preservation Committee) held at Seoul Plaza to commemorate Buddha's Birthday in the year 2565 of the Buddhist calendar.

Mayor Oh, along with participants including Ven. Wonhaeng, the Chief Executive of the Jogye Order, will light a large lantern shaped like the Mireuksaji Stone Pagoda and participate in 'Topdori,' a Buddhist ritual involving circumambulation of the pagoda.
