According to the Daegu Community Chest of Korea, her husband Yang Seung-jae, CEO of Samhwa Foods, joined the Honor Society in 2012, making them the 16th couple to be members of the 'Honor Society' in Daegu.
Park, who has also served as president of the Soroptimist New Daegu Club, an international women's volunteer organization, has been engaged in volunteer activities for over 10 years in various fields including supporting and volunteering at child welfare facilities and local children's centers, charity bazaars to help children with disabilities, and aiding pediatric cancer patients.
At the Honor Society membership ceremony held at Samhwa Foods headquarters in Dalseo-gu, attended by Kim Soo-hak, chairman of the Daegu Community Chest of Korea, and about 20 officials, Park pledged, "I will continue donation activities for neighbors in need in the local community."

She said, "After seeing my husband join the Honor Society and continue steady volunteer work, I decided to join to help those in need in the local community," adding, "As the company has continued for 66 years with honest food, we also plan to establish a scholarship foundation for local residents and children in the future."
