Marking its 42nd year, the Jindo Mysterious Sea Road Festival was completely canceled last year, but this year it will be broadcast live in real-time on YouTube and Facebook, showing the site where the sea road opens as an online festival.
The main programs include drone filming of the mysterious sea road site, the Bong Halmoni ritual, and Jindo Buknori, as well as live broadcasts of traditional cultural and artistic performances unique to Jindo, along with various events such as real-time online comments.
First, through the ‘I Also Came~ Mysterious Sea Road Festival Memory Recall 인증샷’ event, those who upload 인증샷 photos of memories from past visits to the Jindo Mysterious Sea Road Festival on the festival’s homepage will receive Jindo specialty products worth 20,000 won, limited to the first 50 people.
Participants who ‘like’ and leave ‘real-time comments’ on the live broadcast on Jindo-gun’s YouTube will receive Starbucks coffee gifticons.
Under the theme ‘Challenge Online Quiz Passion,’ during the online festival period, 50 people who answer quizzes about Jindo-gun correctly via YouTube and the homepage daily will receive Jindo specialty products worth 20,000 won.
All participants who best imitate or have a voice similar to singer Song Gain, who is from Jindo, singing her songs will receive Onnuri gift certificates worth 20,000 won.
Additionally, a promotional and sales event for clean Jindo agricultural and marine specialty products linked with ‘Jindo Arirang Mall,’ an online shopping mall directly operated by Jindo-gun, is also planned.
