Sejong-si, Transfer Between Duruta and City Buses Available Starting Next Month
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Starting from the 3rd of next month, transfers between 'Duruta' and regular city buses will be possible. Duruta is an on-demand bus service operating to enhance the convenience of public transportation for residents in eup and myeon areas.
On the 26th, the city announced that it had established this transfer system through consultations with Daejeon City and T-money.
Duruta was first introduced in December 2019 in Janggun-myeon as a supplement to public transportation, and since then, the city has been working on building a transfer system.
The newly established transfer system will apply to all BRT, city buses, and village buses operated by the city, enabling transfers between Duruta services as well as transfers with routes B1 and 1002 traveling to and from Daejeon.
Through this, passengers can transfer by paying the fare difference when transferring from a lower-fare transportation mode to a higher-fare one. Additionally, transfers to transportation modes with equal or lower fares will be free of charge.
However, benefits are provided only when paying with a transportation-enabled card, and according to the current transfer policy, transfers are applied up to three times within 60 minutes based on the alighting time.
As Duruta is scheduled to expand to all eup and myeon areas next month, the city expects that this transfer system will reduce the fare burden for Duruta users and increase public transportation usage.
