Geumcheon-gu Joins Forces with Related Organizations to Foster Local Alley Businesses

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) signed a business agreement with related organizations, including the Small Enterprise and Market Service, on the 23rd at 4:30 PM in the district office's small conference room to foster alleyway commercial districts.

At the signing ceremony, Mayor Yu Seong-hoon, the head of the Seoul Gangwon Headquarters of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, the branch manager of the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation Geumcheon Branch, and the chairman of the Geumcheon-gu Facilities Management Corporation attended and promised to build governance and actively cooperate to revitalize the stagnant alleyway economy.

Through this agreement, the four organizations will jointly discover and promote cooperative projects to foster local alleyway commercial districts and strengthen the capabilities of small business owners, including ▲ policy research and development for revitalizing alleyway commercial districts ▲ local commercial district analysis ▲ support for network building ▲ business clinics ▲ professional counseling ▲ special guarantees ▲ facility management ▲ and facility improvement support.

The district plans to work together to revitalize local alleyway commercial districts through ‘establishing policies for alleyway commercial district revitalization’ and ‘support for street creation and merchant development,’ the Small Enterprise and Market Service through ‘consultation and promotion of government support projects for commercial district revitalization,’ the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation through ‘special guarantees and clinics’ and ‘store operation consulting support,’ and the Geumcheon-gu Facilities Management Corporation through ‘facility management and safety education support.’

Mayor Yu Seong-hoon of Geumcheon-gu said, “I expect practical policies that can be felt firsthand to come out through this agreement,” and added, “We will establish a support system that enables policy support, financial support, and facility support together to revitalize alleyway commercial districts.”
