View original image[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Lee Jae-gap, Minister of Employment and Labor, visited a university campus and announced plans to strengthen support measures such as job linkage employment support and psychological counseling for unemployed individuals within two years after graduation. This is part of youth employment measures. The Ministry of Employment and Labor is promoting the Plus Center project, which expands and reorganizes the existing University Job Center project. The main points are to expand the service target from current students to unemployed individuals within two years after graduation and to improve the quality of services by assigning dedicated employment support personnel.
On the 22nd, Minister Lee visited the Gachon University Job Plus Center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, to check the status of youth employment support. Gachon University has been operating the University Job Plus Center since this year. They have established 61 career development roadmaps based on majors to provide systematic career guidance from lower grades and operated employment programs based on the "G-Class 300," a pool of excellent mid-sized and small companies tailored to Gachon University.
Minister Lee said, "Please create exemplary cases by strengthening customized career guidance and direct employment support services not only for current students but also for graduates and local youth, so that young people can smoothly enter the labor market." He added, "The Ministry of Employment and Labor will continue to promote the reorganization of the University Job Center based on the achievements of the Plus Center project."
