On the 23rd, during a visit to Justice Party leader Yeo Young-guk, Floor Leader Yoon said, "I officially apologize for having no choice but to create a satellite party." This was in response to Leader Yeo's demand for an apology.
He continued, "There was a circumstance where we had no choice but to prevent the opposing party from creating a satellite party that nullified the original intent and monopolized the benefits in terms of seats," adding, "There were many problems with the mixed-member proportional representation system allowing satellite parties to emerge. Reform of the proportional representation system is absolutely necessary, and we should discuss thoroughly to properly reflect the original intent and public sentiment of the mixed-member proportional system in the allocation of seats."
Leader Yeo pointed out, "What worries me recently is the possibility that public sentiment is being misread," and added, "When listening to what party leader candidates occasionally say, there are opinions leaning toward cutting taxes for the wealthy regarding asset inequality and real estate, which is quite concerning."

In response, Floor Leader Yoon said, "There are inaccurate perceptions encountered through the media," and stated, "The Democratic Party shares the view that the problem of asset inequality is the fundamental cause of income disparity. Regarding multi-homeowners and real estate taxation, there has never been an official statement about cutting taxes for wealthy real estate owners."
