Samsung System Air Conditioner Wins Award from American Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] Samsung Electronics has won the 'Performance Award' presented by the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) in the United States this year.
On the 23rd, Samsung Electronics announced that it received the award in three product categories: large system air conditioners, medium and small system air conditioners, and medium and small cooling-only system air conditioners.
The Performance Award is given by AHRI based on performance evaluations conducted by internationally accredited testing laboratories on randomly selected system air conditioner products from each category. Notably, the award requires passing strict post-management testing standards conducted over three years, making it highly trusted by consumers. AHRI, established in 1953, has about 350 air conditioner manufacturers worldwide as members.
Samsung Electronics' large heating and cooling system air conditioner 'DVM S' features a wide temperature control range from -25 to 49℃ and excellent compatibility by being connectable to various indoor units.
The medium and small heating and cooling system air conditioner 'Max Heat' is a cold-region specialized product that can operate in harsh environments as low as -25℃, targeting homes and commercial facilities in the northern United States where winter temperatures drop significantly.
The representative model of medium and small cooling-only system air conditioners, '-40℃ Low Ambient,' can provide cooling even at an external temperature of -40℃. It is suitable for special environments such as server rooms that require continuous cooling to dissipate heat generated by network equipment.

Samsung Electronics has been introducing system air conditioners tailored to various environments and purposes in the U.S. market since 2014, continuously growing its sales. Choi Youngjun, Executive Director of Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Business Division, said, "We received the prestigious AHRI Performance Award based on continuous research and development (R&D) of system air conditioners," adding, "We will continue to expand our system air conditioner business by entering various countries beyond the U.S. in the future."
