[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Daegu City announced on the 22nd that it will hold resident briefing sessions from the 23rd until the end of May to establish detailed plans for support projects in the Gunwi and Uiseong areas related to the relocation of the military airport.
To prevent conflicts among stakeholders and to facilitate smooth implementation of support projects during the concretization process, briefing sessions will first be held in Uiseong County on the 23rd and in Gunwi County starting on the 30th. These resident briefing sessions will be conducted for village heads representing each village.
Previously, the relocation site selection committee decided on a support scale of at least 300 billion KRW. The support areas are broadly divided into four categories: living infrastructure facilities, welfare facility expansion, income increase projects, and regional development projects. This plan was finally approved at the relocation project support committee chaired by the Minister of the Office for Government Policy Coordination on December 17, 2019.
