COVID-19 Cases Occur Consecutively in Sinan, Jeonnam
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] In Shinan, Jeonnam, an emergency has been declared as one additional case was confirmed on the 22nd following two cases on the 21st.
According to Shinan County on the 22nd, person A, who tested positive on the 22nd, is a family member of the confirmed cases (Jeonnam 1018 and 1019) from the 21st. Person A tested negative on the 21st and was self-isolating, but tested positive in a second test on the 22nd.
Shinan County reported that infections related to a confirmed case from Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province (Yongin City case number 2396) have increased to three. Tests were conducted on 94 contacts, with 87 testing negative, 6 still pending, and the rest confirmed positive.
Additionally, depending on the closeness of contact, self-quarantine management and active monitoring are being conducted for the contacts.
Person A is scheduled to be transferred to Mokpo City Medical Center. Investigations into additional movement paths and contacts are ongoing, and disinfection of the confirmed case’s movement areas has been completed.
