Implementation of 'Mandatory Completion of 4th Industrial Revolution Education' for All Seodaemun-gu Employees
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) is implementing a ‘Mandatory Completion System for 4th Industrial Revolution Education’ to strengthen the policy capabilities of public officials in response to the future.
Accordingly, district employees must complete 10 hours of related education at each rank to learn the trends of the 4th Industrial Revolution and apply them to policy practice.
To this end, from the end of this month until November this year, 10 sessions of education will be conducted on topics such as ▲The Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the Science of Convergence ▲The 4th Industrial Revolution Era, Climate Crisis ▲Understanding and Experiencing Artificial Intelligence ▲Jobs in the 4th Industrial Revolution and Post-Corona Era ▲Introduction of Advanced Technologies and Social Value.
Experts from various fields, including university professors, researchers, and company representatives, will lecture in real-time online via the video conferencing program ZOOM.
The district also offers optional courses such as writing book reports on recommended books related to the 4th Industrial Revolution and on-site experiential education.
Through this, the district aims for employees to think about the values that public service should pursue in future society and sustainable development, and to seek solutions to challenges faced by the era such as the climate crisis.
Earlier, in June last year, the district opened the Seodaemun-gu Convergence Talent Education Center, providing free education related to the 4th Industrial Revolution, such as 3D printing, coding, and drone flight, to residents.
