Gyeongbuk Province Opens 'Cheongnyeon Godo,' a Support Space for Employment and Startups in Downtown Gyeongju
As Part of the Youth Book Cafe Installation Project... Opened 5 Locations Including Yeongcheon City Since 2018
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gyeongsangbuk-do announced on the 20th that it has opened 'Cheongnyeon Godo,' a space for various activities for youth, in the downtown commercial district of Hwango-dong, Gyeongju-si.
About 30 people attended the opening ceremony, including Ha Dae-seong, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs, Joo Nak-young, Mayor of Gyeongju, Bae Jin-seok, Chairman of the Planning and Economy Committee of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council, Seo Ho-dae, Chairman of the Gyeongju City Council, Park Ki-seop, Chairman of the Urban Regeneration Residents' Council, and Lee Hyung-ho, Vice Chairman of the Youth Policy Committee.
Supported as part of Gyeongbuk Province's Youth Book Cafe installation project, the youth center 'Cheongnyeon Godo' is a comprehensive activity support space including employment and startup counseling, information sharing, discussions, and cultural and artistic activities. It began as a pilot in Yeongcheon-si in 2018 and has opened five locations to date.
The Gyeongju 'Cheongnyeon Godo' has an employment and startup counseling room and startup rental space on the 2nd floor; the 3rd floor includes meeting rooms supporting various youth community activities, a shared kitchen, and a lounge area. The 4th floor consists of a multipurpose hall that can accommodate about 50 people.
