Hanmi Semiconductor Achieves Record First Quarter Performance... Strong Results Continue Amid Semiconductor Shortage
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Semiconductor equipment developer Hanmi Semiconductor announced on the 19th that it recorded sales of 70.5 billion KRW and operating profit of 18.5 billion KRW in the first quarter based on separate financial statements this year.
An official explained, "This is the largest scale ever for first-quarter performance," adding, "Sales increased by 80.1% and operating profit by 161.5% compared to the same period last year."
With the activation of the 4th industrial revolution including 5G, Metaverse, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Driving, Connected Cars, Bitcoin, and Data Centers, semiconductor demand is increasing. Orders for semiconductor manufacturing equipment are also rising. This is further boosted by customers' increased investments due to the global semiconductor supply shortage. Hanmi Semiconductor expects this favorable performance trend to continue for the time being.
