[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] The Ministry of Personnel Management announced on the 17th that out of 198,110 candidates eligible for the '2021 National Civil Service Grade 9 Open Competitive Written Examination,' 156,233 took the exam, resulting in a tentative attendance rate of 78.8%.
This year's attendance rate for the Grade 9 open competitive exam has recovered to pre-COVID-19 levels. Last year's attendance rate was 70.9%, but this year it increased by nearly 8 percentage points. The attendance rate in 2019 was 79.0%, similar to this year's rate.
